About this lehenga
Most heavily worked lehengas use floral and paisley motifs, which is what makes this one stand out on a rack. The choli is embroidered in a bold geometric pattern of arches, chevrons and diamond lattice in silver, laid out in defined blocks rather than scattered across the surface. It reads closer to art deco than to traditional Indian embroidery, and that is the main reason customers pick it.
The skirt is deliberately quieter. A black georgette base carries a subtle tonal texture through the body, then breaks into scalloped silver wave borders towards the hem, with a single vertical silver line running down the front to echo the choli. Keeping the skirt restrained is what allows the choli to carry the outfit.
The dupatta is black net, scattered with small silver butis and finished with a scalloped silver edge along its length.
Fit and sizing
Available in AU sizes 6 to 20. The choli is supplied with margin at the seams so it can be taken in to your measurements, and skirt length is set during your fitting. Because the embroidery on this design is placed rather than all-over, alterations are more straightforward here than on our fully beaded pieces. Most are completed within 7 to 14 days.
Styling notes
This is the piece to wear if you own diamond or silver jewellery. Platinum, white gold and diamond all sit naturally against the silver work, where they would fight a gold-embroidered lehenga. Keep the jewellery geometric rather than floral if you can, so it agrees with the embroidery. A bold lip works well against black, and silver or black heels finish it without introducing a third metal.
