About this lehenga
Black and gold is the combination people reach for when they want to be seen without shouting. This piece is built on restraint: a smooth black silk skirt left almost entirely plain through the body, with all the ornamentation concentrated where it counts.
The hem carries a deep band of antique gold zari, layered in tiered rows of gota and sequin work that runs the full circumference of the flare. Above it, fine gold piping traces every panel seam from waist to hem, so the skirt reads as a series of vertical gold lines when still and opens into a full metallic sweep when you turn. A canvas-supported hem holds that flare through a long evening.
The choli has a deep V neckline edged in gold, with elbow-length sleeves worked in dense zari panels, and a matching embroidered waistband. The choli is supplied with margin at the seams so it can be taken in to your measurements, and neckline depth, sleeve length and skirt length are all set during your fitting.
